Yoga Sukhavati is a spiritually aligned hatha vinyasa practice, infused with Ayurveda, Tibetan Buddhism and anatomical precision that specializes in practices to nourish the stages of a woman's life.

Yoga Sukhavati offers Yoga Alliance certified 200 and 300 hour teacher training programs to those who are interested in liberating their state of mind and lives. Yogasana in the Sukhavati method is practiced with clear anatomical instruction to create a grounded awakening and an experience beyond the physical. The poses are forms of sacred geometry which when performed at the most beneficial time of day, month, year or cycle of an individual's life, create an inner harmony with primordial awareness. The year-long Yoga Sukhavati 300 hr teacher training is offered in 4 modules, emphasizing seasonal practices. Each module includes 4 intensive weekend trainings, one of which is a retreat out of the city at the beautiful Seven Arrows Retreat Center and organic farm. The training offers a joyously comprehensive program in Yoga Asana, Ayurveda, and women's health, providing the opportunity to regain balance through practices attuned to the seasonal changes.

MENTORSHIP

A highlight of our program is the one on one mentorship with core teachers Summer Quashie and Leigh Evans. The mentorship program nurtures the graduate of a 200 hour training to become a skilled yoga teacher. In your mentor meetings you receive specific feedback on your asana practice, teaching techniques, hands on adjustments, and guidance in developing teaching opportunities.

TEACHING AND ADJUSTMENT LABS

Learn skills to refine your teaching and adjustment skills. Working with a group of students in a laboratory like setting, you will stand side by side your teacher and together look at the students to learn to see the areas of compromise or over exertion in their bodies and minds. Learn to penetrate with vision and then your hands. With the gentle guidance of your teacher, you will practice the asana adjustments that will be most beneficial for the student to address their root problems and create new healthy alignment patterns.

You can choose to complete the 300 hr training in one year or modules can be taken individually for completion of 300 hour certification in 2 years. We encourage you to attend the training in one year to experience the seasonal practices unfolding organically. Participants must have completed a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Program in order participate in this advanced studies training.
