The essence of TibetanBuddhism is compassion for all living beings, co-mingled with the direct realization of the ultimate nature of reality. Through the study of these two methods, compassion and wisdom, learning mantra, prayers, visualization and meditation practices from the Palyul tradition, the wish for freedom is nurtured.
With the study of Ayurveda, Indias healing practice, we are embracing an ancient and holistic approach to health and folding it into our modern lives. Ayurvedatreats the whole self and practices are done daily. What has been weakened in the body becomes strengthened to allow the systems to naturally achieve health. When we are able to look at our own body-mind as an organism with its own unique formula for balance, then we can support others to find their own balance. Knowledge of the basic Ayurvedic principles and understanding one's own dosha (body type) are taught in the 200 hr training. Diet, pranayama, lifestyle attunement, bodily cleanses and herbs are taught in the 300 hr training.
Yoga Sukhavati was created by two ardent ladies in Brooklyn. We are up for passing on the energy, art and light.
